Or does coca-cola in a can taste better when drunk from a glass with ice than it does when drunk direct from the can? i think it does..

All liquid refreshments taste better when served from a glass.
Just think how good a frosty, cold beer is at the Corowa Golf Club and compare with same frosty, cold beer out of a can at a football match......... it doesn't really compare, does it?
I much prefer to drink carbonated beverages from a glass. They are formulated for that.

prefer footy, never been to the corowa golf club, but i'll have to go and find out, though i think it'll win over the footy

Don't panic, there is probably no need to rush off to Corowa but in the old days before Victoria had poker machines all of the golf clubs on the NSW side of the border were goldmines.
Mate, at the footy, you have to drink from plastic, no cans allowed....Just think how good a frosty, cold beer is at the Corowa Golf Club and compare with same frosty, cold beer out of a can at a football match......... it doesn't really compare, does it?
Of course, this makes EVERYTHING taste WORSE!

When I was a kid, there used to be "Weekend Tours" to Albury on coaches advertised in the newspapers all the time.
These so-called "tours" basically dropped people at the SS&A Cub on Friday Night at 9pm and picked them back up at around 2pm on Sunday afternoon
And to stay on topic, the best Coke is a Coke from a GLASS BOTTLE.
not only from a glass bottle, but i think the cane sugar version "HECHO EN MEXICO" version is far superior than the regular US version.

It's the common name for an Australian parrot (a type of cockatoo). Which is far less commonly a pet than it used to be, and can be readily taught to say things like "gimma beer" or random swear-words. "Pretty, but dumb".
PS anyone using the word Galah probably hasn't had "real" product-of-USA Coke. Only the poor relative "product of Australia" version.

Here, we only have cane sugar in our Coke.
yes, it tastes better in a glass with ice especially if it is made with cane sugar.
