Alum Blocks....whats your favorite ???

I found this old thread and figured I would add to it rather than start a new one .
Phoenix has a nice block of alum with a rubber band around it for grip.

I use the cheapest one from maggard's razors area. It's the only kind I've ever tried. I use it like once a week or more depending on whether or not I have no Knicks or ,I have quite a few Knicks, or when I get a really good shave and want to determine if I have like no Nicks.
More often than not it goes unused, but once a week just so it doesn't feel lonely. The aftershave Burns enough...

I have two blocks. One from RR that comes in a plastic case. I use that one in my travel kit. The one at home is the Osma. It took a while for the Osma to "break in." The RR was fine right from the start.
I got a fair sized cube a while ago from one of the B&B vendors.

Osma is my favorite but I love Gentleman Jim's container.
I'm using the B.I.G company Alum block ordered of amazon, seems to do the trick nicely, use it after every shave.

I use one of those deodorant crystal sticks you find at the health food store. They're the same thing right?
