Allen Edmonds -- Which last for a flat footed gent?

I'm in the market for another pair of AE's. I own a pair of Bentons (8-678) in black, and a pair of Strands (5-65) in walnut, both sized in 12EEE. I've have to say that the Bentons are probably a little more comfortable (which may be more due to the rubber sole than the last). Anyway, I find it hard to get a straight answer from the sales assistants in the store (same story at multiple locations in New York and Chicago) on which last would be best, as I think they want to sell what they have in stock (can't blame them).

Given my work and travel schedule, I find it easier to buy online. Am hoping for some suggestions on which model (or last) you've found fit best for flat feet -- help me cut down on returns. Many thanks

with flat feet and a triple e ,I would have a podiatrist make a nice pair of orthotics before you purchase the shoes. When you get them, then you slip them in the shoe you like, usually one size larger than you usually buy. If this is not feasible,go to a good shoe repair or athletic store and get a high quality, cushioned, full length insole with built in arch support.Your feet will thank you.
