Alcolado Glacial - Limacol

I've placed a few orders for same from them.My limacol menthol came in the old glass bottles,the regular in plastic...most orders the penguin bottles leaked,a dozen bottles and 10 of the 12 lost considerable amounts.The glacial is really good stuff,but the bottle,especially the neck and cap,are cheap crap,it really deserves something better.The last few orders from them,they had wrapped the cap in electrical tape,and the black goo melted all over the neck..

I've been lucky enough to find both Alcolado Glacial and Limacol (non-mentholated version) in my local Caribbean market, and reasonably priced. Though not marketed as being strictly aftershaves, both Alcolado Glacial and Limacol serve quite well in that roll if you like an after shave splash with a high concentration of alcohol in it.
The alcohol content of Alcolado Glacier, according to the label, is 76%. The menthol in the Glacial splash is high. Below Osage Rub, but higher than any of the commonly available aftershaves, such as Skin Bracer or Barbasol Brisk. The concentration of alcohol and menthol makes for an interesting post-shave sensation. Scent is minimal and fleeting. Makes for a good AS if you want to apply cologne.
Limacol is also high in alcohol. There is a citrus-like fragrance, pleasant to me and not too strong, but lasting longer than Alcolado Glacier. I'll use it when I want a good alcohol sting, or when I plan to apply a cologne with citrus notes. Limacol contains Castor oil, which moisturizes the face...something lacking in Alcolado Glacier.

In getting sent to Guyana I quickly came across Limacol and El Dorado Rum as the national products. I was eager to try both, and they didn't let me down.
I keep a bottle of Limacol on the desk for post workout shower. It has a great citrus scent, and the mentholated is refreshing and feels great with my overhead fan running.
For those thinking about a new spring/summer aftershave I would highly recommend it!

Cheng...was your bottle still glass ?...What bay rum products are there ??
Most of the bottles are glass, but the travel sizes are plastic with flimsy flip-tops. Bay rum, nada. Though this is a Caribbean country, bay rum doesn't seem to be popular.
