Another post in another thread got me thinking about relative aggressiveness in saftey razor and blade combinations. When we rate how aggressive a razor in the reviews section we give it an absolute number on a scale of one to ten. Another idea might be coming up with a relative spectrum of how aggressive these razors and blades are.
For instance, I would probably put a Merkur HD 34C with a Feather blade probably at the middle of the spectrum with maybe a black handled superspeed or tech with a Dorco at then low end and maybe a Futur on 9 with a Shogun at the other end. (I'm just making this up right now) From there we could place other razors on the spectrum to give readers an idea of how one razor performs relative to another that they may be familiar with. That might be more helpful than a simple 1 to 10 given that people number razors differently in the review section.
I realize that this method would be equally as subjective as the 1 to 10 scale. I'm really just thinking out loud (in type) here. Any thoughts?
