Aftershave Recipes?

I personally love the vintage smells of the aftershaves like Pinaud, but my wife, well that's another story.
So has anyone concocted up a recipe to create your own aftershave using a brand cologne or eu de toilet? Any required ingredients and ratios to make your own alcohol/hazel based aftershave?

In a pint-size mason jar.

1/2 cup white rum
1 1/4 cup 100 proof vodka
cinnamon stick
a couple peppercorns
a couple juniper berries
a couple drops orange extract
a pinch of pipe tobacco
the cedar wrapper from a cigar
a bit of frankincense fragrance oil
a drop or two of vanilla extract

I think I went a little overboard on the cinnamon. I might add a little lime or bergamot to it and a bit more tobacco before I add some glycerin and witch hazel.

This sounds like some bizare cocktail...

I love Clubman Virgin Bay Rum but I want something with witch hazel. So I use the following recipe: 2 parts Clubman Virgin Bay Rum and 1 part witch hazel. You could probably use it with any high alcohol AS splash.

Just mix up some witch hazel with a little bit of your scent of choice. I would go 1 part cologne to 2 or 3 parts witchhazel to start with. Make a small amount and then you can change the ratios if you don't like it.

Personally, I like to have some aloe vera gel and a bit of glycerin in my homemade brew.

Try:

3 parts witchhazel
1 part aloe vera gel
1/4 part glycerin (just a few drops in 1-2 ounces)
1/2 to 1 part cologne of your choosing

Mix up about 2 oz and give it a try. If the smell is too weak, add more cologne. If it's too sticky, add more witchhazel. If it's not moisturizing enough, add a couple more drops of glycerin.

I have some of the Master's Bay Rum from Sally's but would love to find some Clubman Pinaud or Ogalla locally. I just love the scent of bay rum and did not know it was still available until I started DE shaving and hanging around B&B.
