Adding scents to van der hagen

And, the results can be very very good. For example, lavender EO mixed with VDH will give a mix that produces great lavender scented lather.

I've tried on several occasions to scent a puck of VDH - old spice, lilac veg, aqua velva, etc. I just can't get rid of that baby-wipe smell of VDH. It's always there, lingering beneath whatever scent I add to it. I really hate that baby-wipe smell, I won't use it because of that.

Watch using essential oils. Too much of one of those will really mess up your complexion. Keep it to a few drops if you attempt this at all, EOs are best left to those with the knowledge to use them properly IMO (and are very expensive, I understand some are over $10 an ounce). Fragrant oils are cheaper and not quite as likely to mess up your face barring an allergy to some chemical used to make them (although you should still only use a few drops as too much will give you too much scent).
