I don't have picture posting capability right now (no internet at home, I'm at work...hehe), so you'll have to imagine.

By the end of this weekend I had scored two razors. I picked up a nearly mint Gem Micromatic for $1.25 at one thrift store.

Later, I went by another thrift store and found a King in its box with its instructions for $4.25. The King is new to me, I've never seen one. It looks copper in color all over. Upon a little closer inspection, I found that it was supposed to be 22k gold plated and was made here in the U.S.

Anyone have any info on this thing? I'll put up a picture if I get a chance to.

I bought this at an antique store today after receiving 7 razors off ebay today as well. My wife hates you guys. Anyway it says 1932 Canada. What is it called? Tech? It was $4 and I just cleaned it. Thanks.

I have a few Canadian Khaki Sets that were issued to soldiers in WWII and they came with razors like this. IIRC the "1932" was a patent date but they continued to be made well after 1932. There are some of these fat handled Techs that have triangle shaped openings in the blade guard that are regarded as being more rare. This is a great find for $4.

I have shaved with mine and find them quite light and not very aggressive. If I am shaving daily without letting a decent growth come in, I will turn to one of these as they are easier on my face than my usual go-to 38C.

I didn't really look close at his other razors because most of the gold ones seemed to have lacquer issues and I don't know if I can clean them. There was something there I thought was an army issue but I don't know. It was like a deep leather case with a razor in the middle and two gold tubes on each side. There were some other cased ones but I don't know enough. Also 6-10 straights.

I guess the ADs finally got the better of me: 125-blade sampler from somebody in the UK who's obviously not a good friend of B&B, 4 SCs, 2 ASBs and a pre-shave oil from T&H.
