The 11/16 Taylor Witness Sheffield is the only one with small chips on the edge (very small).

The others are in very good condition. The seller said they are not shave ready but the Raccoon and Foster seems to be quite sharp! I will give them a few hundred laps on the strop and see this week-end!

No chips or cracks on the scales! It's a good lot. I got a few more deals earlier and pending the other razors, if I get them this week, it will be quite a steal!

Just got this package from Shoebox Shaveshop:

An Omega 31064, Boreal 977, Booster Russian Bear Oil and Booster Hair Gel, and a few goodies Gary threw in. A few DE blade samples, and some Riana soap! Very nice surprise!

I just received a package from The Gentlemen's Quarter. One ounce cakes of toasted almond, blackberry sage, gentlemen's oak and moss, highlander, and leatherneck. She also included samples of two scents she is considering adding in the future. I know the picture sucks, I took it with my cell phone.

Clubman samples and the Menthol Williams showed up yesterday. I also received GFT Rose & Coconuts soaps off a BST purchase but no pics.

Picked up a couple of new things this week:

Merkur Progress. I'm trying this out before sending it in to be modified. I've got a long adjustment knob coming to test it out before deciding which I want, long or short. One thing's for sure: this razor gives a super-close shave.

I also picked up a closed-comb Merkur travel razor. I'm a sucker for any gimmick, and this looks like great fun in a small package.

The only thing I'm waiting on now is my Gillette Fatboy!

anyone know if the fat handled Tech ever came in this particular case? or did this case go to a different model razor? the listing said it was from an estate sale but it looks like it's in pretty darned good shape either way

Came so close to ordering a Slant HD as I wanted to try one out but felt kinda "dirty" buying a non-vintage razor

Then I came across Chessman's post about his NOS vintage slants.......

What can I say, cheaper than a new Slant HD locally , absolutely mint and fits in with the rest of my "collection". Even has the original wrapping paper.

Luckily Slaglerock didn't manage to intercept on the way to Tasmania since Chessman is now out of them.

Once again I'm going to hear a gnashing of teeth from the real collectors, but I'm gonna use this one.............

Just finished this restore today, I got the knot from the GN, it's a Silvertip (20mm) I won the handle off the bay. Enjoy! (3 step pics in Shaving Brushes forum)

But I hate to see these sitting in Antique or second hand shops being unloved. Any purchases like these will be rescue jobs.

Have a friend who is having a garage sell this weekend. Said he found this Old Spice stuff getting everything together yesterday. Wondered it I wanted it as he remembered I enjoyed old shave stuff. Isn't it great to have friends who think about you.

Two more brushes for the week. A Koh-I-Noor #SC68 Pro, and a 2-band Chubby 2. And of course the B&B 09 is going to be on my mind. If it's a Kent I'm sunk most likely.

I received my Filarmonica #13 (6/8) today, it was waiting for me at the post office. It need restoration, 3-4 mini-chips on the edge but blade is not cracked.

Not bad for $50 AUD...
