Won this on eBay last week for under $20, but just took the pictures this morning. Pre-date code gold Tech in what appears to be the original box. The missing cardboard thingy that goes between the handle and head is the only thing that keeps this from being new-in-box. Not sure if I dare use it!

First of all I hope my pictures aren't too bad. I just got home from a long trip, and am exhausted, but I wanted to share some pics of what I picked up in only 2 antique shops while I was gone. Surprising to think only two netted me all of this, but it did! :biggrin1:

The first four pics are all from the first store I stopped at. First time I stopped in I only bought the Crabtree & Evelyn lavander soap, and a pack of Waltham razor blades was thrown in for free. Still debating on if I want to use this soap, or put it away and keep it. Not too old, made in 1986. I eventually came back to the store on my return trip today, and thankfully the brushes were still there.

The brush in the second picture I have a bit of information I can get from the bottom. The brush was made by Comoy's of London and is English Pewter. It was made in Sheffield, England. I can't find any indication of the type of hair, but I'm sure it is badger. Too soft to be boar from the ones I've experienced at least. It feels like silvertip judging from the silvertips I've used. It's a little on the floppy side, but not bad.

The second brush in the third picture is smaller, but it has more heft surpisingly than the first one shown. A little on the small size for the handle, but I like the heft. If you look on the bottom, sorry I couldn't get a nice picture, it says real badger. It feels a little scratchier than the first, and would say it compares very close to my EJ BBB, but denser. I forgot to take a picture of it, but you can also untighten the base of the brush and open it up. It doesn't look like it is meant to have anything kept inside it. Ok with me at the moment if I don't know, I like it!

At first I was thinking I wouldn't be interested in these brushes as I prefer to use what I do buy, but after I left it occured to me, "It doesn't look like these brushes were really used to be honest." They don't seem to have bloomed yet, no residue in the hair that I see, no smell of badger, or any soap. I might end up using these beauties, but I would like to make sure they are clean before I use. They could use a bit of cleaning too to get some residue off. I really like how these brushes look, they are very beautiful little brushes. Even if I don't use them they'd be great for display!

Those were the things that I really was impressed the most with, but even the other items I like as well. I believe the razor case in picture 5 to the right is for one of the Gillette Aristocrats correct? It got a bit bent up where the top had spaces cut into it to help opening it at the edges. I don't know what the left razor case belongs too, but they both have Gillette on it. Only other thing I really was wondering about at the moment is what type of Gillette Tech is the silver colored one? Anyone know on that? Any comments about the brushes or anything else would be awesome. Just wanted to share what I found on my trip as I'm especially happy with it! :001_wub:

A nice way to end a day. The razor is the Edwin Jagger Lined Chatsworth from The English Shaving Company. It is a great-looking razor. Nice attention to detail.

The shaving soaps... well you know about that.

Check out the Razor Forum for some comparsion photos between the EJ with the Muehle head and the 23c with a Merkur head.

Also check out the G-rated version of the Irisch Moos in the soap section.

Congrats! The lined chatsworth has become one of my very favorite razors. It's really somethin' else.

Yikes! Did you already work it out with the seller yet?

Well, there was no discount but I did get an apology. The price was not too bad, but not as good a score as I thought it would be. But I just got a nice condition Krona in a lot of razors off da Bay, so this new razor will sit in the case and the other will become my shaver.
