Hello, welcome. I think if you were to do a thread search for the ABC pocket editions you can get more and better information than Ivan give you. But I know if it were Canadian it would have a PC prefix before the serial number on the base plate. It appears to be the same as all others. Does the bottom of the case have a series of patent dates? The ones that do we're mostly made before 1915. You can get a lot of information from some of the B&B threads if you punch in the key words you want searched on the search bar at the top of the page, then click on the yellow button at the end of the search bar. Good luck sir, and again welcome to the B&B.

the flowers on the case are not detailed like the other floral patterns. the razor has of course the pc prefix. therefore i asked if the blurry flowers are canadian style
i didnt find that blurry floral pattern case with the search function

Hmm... that's definitely a bit of a puzzlement. The "PC" prefix on the serial number would definitely be Canadian, but as far as I know the Canadian plant didn't use any of the ABC handles in their Pocket Editions, and instead seem to have come up with their own which is where we get the thin-handled Ball End, the "True" Ball End, and the Nut End (for lack of better names).

Also strange is that that looks like one of the later, thick cases from what I can see of it there. Is it missing the patent date/number inscription from the bottom, or does it have those? I've seen other versions of those later cases that were similarly "low fidelity" -- almost like Gillette continued to use the patterns but made their own dies from rough copies of the original designs.

the case do not have the patent dates and it is one of the thick cases. maybe you are right that this is a late case with low fidelity and the razor is probably mixed up
thanks
