Earlier today I placed an order with Allen Edmonds for a pair of Daltons in Bourbon. This colour is not available on their site. The only way that you could have known that this color was even available was to like the AE Facebook page. Every Friday they offer a Friday Facebook special. I will post pics in 4 to 6 weeks.

I had to shut down the FB app as soon as that appeared. I have just spent more than I intended to with AE recently, but those Dalton boots (esp in Bourbon) were over the top.

It is such a great color and it matches jeans, dress trousers and khakis equally well.

One thing I wish I had thought to do when ordering: Order a tube of the bourbon shoe cream. It isnt a color that I am going to be able to match at my local store's Kiwi display. I have a retail store a couple of towns over, so I am going to see if the carry it before I order off the website.

I'm on their e-mail list and just received an announcement for the new Bourbon color. Very nice though I find myself somewhat impecunious at the moment...
