A woman somehow lost control of her car Tuesday and ended up submerged in a pond in Dallas.

The 35-year-old woman, whose name has not yet been released, was driving her SUV in a neighborhood near the 16000 block of Fallkirk Drive, not far from Campbell Road and Queenferry Lane, when she apparently lost control of the vehicle and drove into the pond, officials said.

The woman, who was unresponsive when firefighters pulled her from the vehicle, was being treated by Dallas Fire-Rescue. Her condition is not known.

Rescuers used a wench to pull the car from the cold, shallow water. It is not yet known what caused the woman to lose control of her vehicle.
