A simple Gentlemans Grooming Set

I sometime purchase the odd shaving kit and sometimes it produces some surprises. Like this one, it seems to be unused as the Gillette New still has all its packing on it. If the blades are the original ( I have no reason to think not) this set is from the early 30's.
The soap is unused as is the brush. A nice find.

Well to answer the questions first...........
Ebay (it slipped under the radar)
Cost $30.00 (ish)
No I will not be using it as I have other "News" that I can use and as it has survived intact for so long seems a shame to break it open now.
But I have to say buying sets is a bit of "crap shoot" as a lot of them are not that well made and they tend to have the Ali Tech or a clone in them.
But you can find good ones. Below is one I got a month or so a go...........and yes it is an Aristocrat Jnr (flat base).
But the beauty of this set is the bakelite tubes ( they are very stunning to look at) and its simplicity. 2 tubes and a razor and for someone that has short hair and no use for a brush this set is just right.

Very nice, every time I find a vintage grooming set it is missing pieces. I guess I'll keep looking.

One tube is for the brush and one for a soap stick........palmolive fits just nice.
