Well gents. A rather ecstatic SOTD to report.
Merkur 1904 C/C
Wilkinson Sword (1)
Semogue 1250
Proraso Red (sandalwood)
Whilst making the half hour drive home this morning, I felt upon my stubble covered noggin fully dreading the tugging shave that was about to behold my poor cranium this morn from my cartridge razor and canned goo. When about halfway. I started to contemplate attempting my first brush and D/E shave. I shuddered at the thought of how badly it was going to turn out, the thought of one blade, running against extremely thick, coarse, stupidly stiff stubble on my scalp. I got home, and during my nice hot shower decided to suck up my man-gina and my method of action. I decided on my merkur (only D/E so no brainer), my semogue 1250 boar which I'm starting to use much more than my badger, I figured hell with it we'll try proraso first. I also figured it would be the ultimate test for the Wilkie blades that were sent to me. I lathered up my cranium, and braced myself for my first pass as I had a couple days growth. I went straight for an against the grain pass, full on, XXX hardcore style. As I cringed when the razor hit the first bit of stubble. I suddenly realized...that alas. I felt absolutely nothing other than the resistance of my hair. I moved to the sides of my head above my ears, where it always is the most sensitive. Straight against the grain. Yet again, I felt nothing. Before I knew it I was jamming out to some motley crue and had completely shaved my head, and finished my touch ups. The Wilkinson sword performed flawlessly and is still in my razor, it might even have a face shave left even after all that hair, really, its a sight to behold how thick and coarse the stubble is. It didn't really take as long as I expected. Fairly quick. So alas gents, I now will shave my head with my D/E as well. As my whole head feels like one smooth babies ***. Good day my friends!
