What's new

A question for users of Castle Forbes shaving cream

I have just discovered a local brick and mortar shop that stocks CF creams and am about to pull the trigger on the Lavender.

But having looked at a few of the tubs available, I've noticed the cream is uneven and almost appears as if it's been used. Now I'm used to Proraso and TFH and their creams always seem to be finished perfectly and even, almost swirl like in the tub.
So guess I wanted to know what a 'new' tub of CF shaving cream should look like? Is it perfectly flat and even?

The SA is a bit clueless as to what the CF creams should look like!

Thanks for your help guys

my 2 tubs of CF came from overseas, so when they got here they were not flat or even.

if it's coming from a brick & mortar store, it would be safe to assume they are new, unused. if in doubt, check a few and grab from the back of the counter.

I use Castle Forbes lime shaving cream every day. It definitely does not come perfectly smooth and even. It is "hilly" in appearance

I think you will love it!

Hope this helps

Cheers

I wouldn't worry about the uneven appearance of the surface of the cream; mine is like that. It's a really thick cream and has the consistency of paste.

Understood. I guess I assumed that because of it's dense, almost soft soap like consistency, CF would be less affected by movement!

Thanks to all who have replied, I'm going to get some tomorrow and then use on Christmas day...
