A New Wallet

I'm looking for a nice new wallet and would like some ideas from you gentlemen about good quality brands to consider.

I'm looking for a bi-fold with the ID insert that opens perpendicular to the main section's crease (I think this is called a 'passcase' type).

I have had mine for a year and its still like brand new

I have a Tumi which I have been using for about 4 years. Check the site and see if they have a configuration that you like. Mine has held up very well...still looks like it is new.

Personally, I would check out Ross, Marshall's, TJ Maxx for a decent quality one. They often have a pretty good selection. Usually decent designer brands, but nothing super spiffy. But it is a wallet. I figure just a basic, decent quality leather one from any brand is fine. These things are subject to a lot more abuse than I can justify allowing something expensive to encounter.

I use a tesco wallet  Wanted to buy a leather one but then I realised that I got one from my girlfriend. Problem with that is that it is too huge and you can imagine her seeing me buying another wallet

There are some good looking candidates...
I'll have to visit the store for a visual! I'd hate to buy a $150 wallet without ever seeing it!

I have no idea what brand mine is, but I bought it at a shop in downtown Clemson when I was in high school (probably Knickerbockers). Its plain black leather bi-fold with a Clemson paw stamped into it. I love it, but if you want one, you'll probably have to get Blair to pick you one up!

I HIGHLY recommend Vaja Cases leathergoods (www.vajacases.com, or here for men's wallets). Their quality is incredible, and the color combinations and custom options make it a truly special, personal product. Just about everything is custom-made. I own a PDA case, phone case, wallet, and an iPod case from them, and their service has been exceptional (really quick turn-around with responses if you email them).

I'm not shilling for them, just a really happy customer who doesn't mind telling his friends.

In all honesty I've found the less expensive non-designer name leather wallets to far outlast the pricier ones.

I really hate replacing my wallet, but it's a good excuse to clean out all of the excess stuff that accumulates over the years. I make a point of buying a new one every 10 years, on or about my decade birthday.

I am a fan of Hermes wallets, however a more "sanely" priced wallet, and of similar quality are Hugo Bosca's.

Rule of thumb - Spend less on your wallet than the amount of money you keep in it.

I might could do that, but I don't go in there as often as I do THE JUDGE'S!

I guess I'll have to stick with a paper clip, then.

Anyone have change for a button?
