4711 orginal eau de cologne

LOL...skittle...I will go home and break into my Children skittles stash and see...I would say lights definately light, lemon/citrus like...uplifting for sure....the one thing that was odd wsa the thickness...definately oil like but in a refreshing way...

It's a sharp citrus-type scent typically used as a quick pick-me-up since it does not last long. I own it and use it a lot in the warmer months.

+1. I only use the aftershave splash. I had a pretty good sized sample of the EdC and went through it very quickly because of the lack of longevity. It's relatively inexpensive so I could see myself picking up a big bottle of it someday.... but it's not on my "need to get" list.

Excellent product, and agree it does have a citrus scent. I also bought the 4711 aqua colonia Lemon & Ginger cologne "wonderful" long lasting.

My wife and I have a small bottle that we use for refreshing. To me it has a slightly bitter lemon scent; not sweet so I get no connection to Fruit Loops. A nice refresher for warm weather. Not long lasting.

I've heard fruit loops or skittles. I haven't yet purchased it but it's on my list.

My wife thinks it smells like froot loops. (yes, froot loops is actually spelled that way).
It doesn't work on me, it's longevity can be measured in nanoseconds.

4711 is excellent stuff for cleaning eyeglasses.

The best use I've seen for it was in those little packaged towellete fresheners they give you on aeroplanes.

I can't think of something very similar to 4711 that lasts a long time, but I do get a similar vibe in the citrusy sharp department from Eau de Rochas Pour Homme. If you want long lasting lemony scents in general, try Art of Shaving Lemon Essential Oil EDT, D&G Masculine or Aqua di Portofino. There are plenty of other long lasting citrusy scents, but they often tend to be very woody as well.
Regards.

It's citrusy/lavender, a bit sweet, very short-lived and fairly cheap. I sold a 150 ml bottle because I prefer the slightly more expensive Jean Marie Farina Extra Vielle and the natural EO-based Alvarez-Gomez as a quick summer lift. With these on the table, I wasn't using the 4711 anymore.
