4 x New Butterscotch

Sorry for the weak photo. All of the handles are varying shades of fairly rich butterscotch, though it may not come through in the phone pic. All are TGN knots. Enjoy.

Left to right: Made Rite w/ 22mm SL Best (handle restore by hig789 - thanks Matt); Rubberset 300 w/ 20mm Finest XH (loft purposely set a little higher than the others); Klenzo w/ 22mm Finest; Kirkewhite B875 w/ 24mm Finest.

Man I love that Kirkwhite, but they are all very nice.

I do, too. You can't see in the photo, but it also says "Made in England" as a part of the front engraving. Thanks.

All 4 look great! I think the made rite is my favorite of the bunch. Looks great with the best knot.

Thanks! For some reason, that Best knot has become one of my favorites, both its looks and performance. I have installed two of them and have a third on the bench waiting to complete some work on a handle.

I have a couple Simpson best brushes but have yet to complete a restore with one. The really do have a great look to them! The Simpson knots are easily tied with TGN's Finest knot as far as face feel for me. Different but I love them both!!

Yep. I recently got a Duke 2 in Best that I am loving, too. If only I could shave more than once per day.

Just the Duke 2 and the Case, both in best. Not the best pics but you get the point.

Back on topic, any chance someone can compare the Simpson best and the TGN best knots? Is there any reason for a Simpson fan to try one?

I'm back. Lucky for you guys I like seeing brush pics, so jack away. :biggrin1: I can compare for you! Based on my limited use of both knots (again, I have a new Duke 2 that I have used twice and two TGN best knots that I have used a couple of times each), I would say they have a similar feel. As you would guess, the Duke knot is more dense. Definitely nothing wrong with the TGN version.

Yah I would have guessed the duke 2 to be denser. But thanks for the review of the two. I think I may have to keep TGN best on my list of things to try. It's behind STA and super badger, but its on the list.
BTW, nice looking brushes, catherix!
And thanks for the comments! Sorry again :biggrin1:
