2013 Muhle R41 for $38 shipped!

All the U.S. vendors I checked today sell the 2013 Muhle R41 at the $61 list price (less any B&B discount or coupon code) plus shipping.

Shaving.ie just sold me a 2013 Muhle R41 for $38 (w/ no discount or coupons) including shipping from Ireland to Texas.

Shaving.ie also has in stock the Grande and Rosegold versions at prices below the U.S. vendors I searched.

HTH,

US distributor markup.

That's the problem when every dealer in the US has to buy from one source, but the manufacturer does not attempt to protect it's overseas (US) dealers by prohibiting European dealers from shipping overseas.

10 years ago, a number of European Scuba dealers were stripped of various product lines because they were selling "grey market" to a certain large New York camera house, or even direct to US customers.

Ordered the R41 with plastic handle for $45 from Phil at Bull Goose. He gave great advice by phone and I really appreciated that. A good seller.

@gosiaopus1

I looked at Bullgoose, but IIRC they carried the 2011 head, and I was looking for the 2013 head.

Smooth shaving,
Dennis

I also bought the R41 from shaving.ie. it took only 5 days from Dublin to San Jose! And with this price I was able to buy a nice brush for under $61 the US vendors sell the R41 for..

The most interesting thing about their site is that they sell the Feather AS-A2 for $201.96 which is comparable to most US dealers but throw the stand in for a total $224.41! That's a stand that adds around $100 in the US for less than $23! That's a price that seams correct in my mind for what it is. Just amazing. Thanks for alerting me to their site Dennis!

I've always had very good service from Shaving.ie. They've answered any questions I have promptly. I generally order several things from them and end up spending at least $100 to make the journey over the pond worth it. I do try to buy from US vendors and B&B vendors especially whenever I can, although Shaving.ie is a B&B vendor I believe.

There are a few items that just make more financial sense to buy overseas, unless you just have money to burn. I prefer to stretch my shaving budget as far as I can, since I have medical bills constantly for my lovely wife. I am still able to get many of the things I want, but no need to waste money needlessly when I can put the savings towards her medical care.

Just my $.02, which along with $1 will get you a cup of coffee.
