2 Straights I Picked Up To Start

I was out and about today checking out some antique stores looking for some straight razors to start restoring. I've been reading all kinds of posts all over the forum and it looks like a lot of fun. I ended up finding two, one that I really like and would like to restore for use, and one to practice on first. Here are a few low quality pics from my cell phone:

The first one is the one I really like. It seems to be made by Pearcy and the model is The Ringer. The store owner said the scales were ivory, how can I check? There is a sort of grain running along them. There is no rust on the blade and from what I've read I think it should be a good one to restore. It also says Germany on the back of the shank. This one cost me $15.

The second one with the black scales was going for $12, but I managed to get it thrown in for $7. The case says H. Boker & Co, and Trade Mark with a tree in between. On the shank is says Leader. There is a little rust but none on the blade edge. I thought it looked like it had a slight smile so I offered less. I wanted it to practice on before touching the other one.

If anyone knows anything about either of these razors I'd love to hear it, as well as any comments and suggestions. I know it will take a while but I'm excited to start the journey!

I have never owned a Pearcy but I have had a couple of Bokers. They are nice razors and are well thought-of. The company is still in existence and they make a lot of different cutlery though I think maybe they quit making razors. You got nice prices on both razors.
