I had a very generous B&Ber loan me his Bull Mastiff for a week and I will shave with it tomorrow morning. I don't know what to expect, but that sucker is heavy!!

Are you using the New Style head?
I found it to be a verry unagressive razor, but I get the best out of all of my razors with it. It may be the combination of the weight of the Bull mastiff, and the open comb teeth, letting the lather stay on my face longer before contact with the blade, and finding that sweet spot easier. I can go WTG with this without any problems.

It's a great razor. I like mine a lot. I have a found a British NEW head to put on the handle (it's a bit more aggressive than the USA) and I just bought one of Bob's 3 1/4" bull dog handles with the barber pole knurling. I'll decide which combo I like best and maybe then sell the other set.
I'm curious to hear what you think of my Bull Mastiff. It definitely gives me a very close shave.
