What's new

1980's Erasmic Soap stick

Been looking / wanting a new shave soap for the old face, but it seems that prices have gone up a little in recent times and I'm tight. Checked Amazon after the bargain I've got on some proraso red, but nothing. Anyhow SWMBO reminded me that there was a soap stick under the sink in my cave. I thought it was an Arko, but to my surprise its an old 1980's (could be older let me know) Erasmic Soap stick. I forgot about this and a couple of others I bought gawd knows when. Seems to be made by Pears too. Its up on deck for tonight's shave.

Nope, no ingredients listed. Anyhow,

Scent- none really
Lather- wow! Loads, clouds of the stuff. I believe these were made with lanolin.
Cushion- Nice, good.
Slick- Yes, oh yes definitely.
Result- BBS in 3 passes with 2 touch ups on the jaw line, no irritation.

A great find and into the rotation. Sorry no pics tonight as no phone or tablet in the den. I'll see if I can get some tomorrow.

What a great find !!....Please honor us with a few pictures and description of the lather....

Well not the greatest pic's ever but with only approx 5 seconds on the stick and 30 seconds of brush work on the palm. Scent has gotten better, gone from none to old school soapy.

As I say no time involved, nothing special, just a dab of cold water, Trafalgar 3 and 30 seconds of work. Not too shabby of you ask me for a stick thats over 30yrs old.
