1921 Combination Set ? Complete or incomplete ?

Just picked this up at the Bay, and i know i don't have this set, I have the Traveler that comes with One Blade Case, This Combination set from 1921 comes with 2 Blade Cases. Is this Set Complete and Correct for its date? From what i can tell and looking at the picture from Mr Razor site it seems like it, What do you guys think?

at the moment i don't have the Serial Number but once i receive it i can confirm it.

I ask for other opinions because sometimes i miss things ) Thanks for your help in advance..

Anyone know if these came with Serial numbers? Im Curious because i did a close up shot on the head without the top plate and i cant even see one number ? Mabye its a bad pic? But then i noticed the Combination set on Mr Razor site doesnt show a serial No. either ? He usally displays its serial
Number.

Edit. Just did a super close up and it doesnt have a serial Number, Looks like these sets came without serial Numbers ?

Got this info from the Shave Wiki Dating info, says this about 1921 Razors.

"O" was not used as a serial number prefix. May launch of New Improved razor with new serial number format. Old Type continues as "Brownie" and various other sets, but without serial numbers. Original 1904 patents expire November 15, 1921. Annual sales exceed 4.2M razors.

What makes you think your set is from 1921, Vargas? There was a period from October 1927 to August 1928 where the New Improveds weren't numbered. If yours isn't numbered it's most likely from somewhere in there.

Well i figured it wasnt just the razor it was a complete set i found, was this set made in 1927 or 1928 ? if it was then your right it can be from that period.

I can't even say that I've ever seen anything in print that confirms that these were ever actually made at all. There's no mention of them in the 1921 or 1929 catalogs that the Razor Emporium guys have scanned, and I've not seen mention of a New Improved Combination Set in any ads from the period that I've come across, either. There's also the fact that the Traveler set took the same $7.50 price point as the Combination Set occupied in the Old Type line up.

So I don't know... For all I know people are finding older sets that have had their razors swapped out for newer ones. Or maybe there's something out there hiding from me that I haven't found yet.

Ok awesome, I think its from 1921 or later if it the same set as yours, but This one doesnt have a serial Number from what i see..

The serial number is on the guard side that is hidden by the cap. You have to open the razor to read it. Not sure I am clear...

The set is complete when there is a little brush in one if the tubes (sorry, disruptive influence!)

My set comes with SN 531 949 A, that´s 1921. I believe your set without SN is from Oct 1927/Aug 28. I did´t found any Ads or catalogs about a New Improved Combination set. Or some old owners have replaced the single ring (maybe with crack) against the New Improved.

Ok thanks for that, i probably have one or two of those old gillette brushes some where around ) Also Complete set i was refering to was more like the Razor, Blade Holders, Canisters and Case ) ,

I wouldnt let a set go by just because its missing a brush / brushes can be found on the bay, Especially The little old gillette travel brushes )

Thanks for your reaponse, So your saying that its the incorrect Razor? Because it has no serial number? Just making sure i understand it.
