My shave bowl is a hard plastic salad bowl circa 1970's found at a thrift shop. I serrated the bowl bottom to facilitate agitation. The shave brush is a 3+ year old Edwin Jagger Silvertip synthetic that just gets it done. It's still very soft w/plenty of backbone w/no muss or fuss cleanup and dry.
