Gillette shaving cream containing K-34 antiseptic (hexachloraphene) circa 1950. Gillette purported it "destroyed" 99% of facial bacteria. Gillette also sold K-34 cream in aerosol cans in the 60's and early 1970's. Gillette discontinued use of Hexachlorophene in 1972 due to warnings from the FDA.
