Comments: A great smooth face feel shave resulted from a long Cube 2.0 soak-in, and warm RAWR lather. Posting later than normal as our furry four-legged bed heater let us sleep in. Today was my last shave with the Noble Otter RAWR soap. Tomorrow starts their BARBAR soap.

Cleanup:
  • Rinsed & dried face
  • Witch Hazel Dickinsons f/b buffing
  • A/S Aqua Velva Blue f/b buffing
  • Omega Alum stick
  • Deodorant: Dr. Teals

Soap/Shave cream: Stirling Soap Hot Apple Cider
Brush: Jequil & Corenveo 24mm Synthetic
Razor: Rockwell 6C
Blade: Astra SP (1)
Post shave: Pinaud Clubman
Rating: 9.5/10

Smooth. Close. Enjoyable. My morning of Zen, uninterrupted by anything aside from Ben the cat getting up on the counter to offer advice and blink at me slowly ...
Such a great razor/blade/soap combination. If I were forced to abandon all my razor and blades save one, this might be the one I'd choose. It just plain works.
And, oh my, how I love this shave soap scent!!

Rating: 9.85/10 Almost Perfection

Maybe I can get my Days correct this morning as I called yesterday as Wednesday.
Whatever - I'm old and the brain doesn't always hit on eight cylinders.
Changed the blade today to a Hill's (East Coast Dept. Store) branded Platinum Chrome.
Got these on EBay at a good price and I figured they were re-branded Personna.
What a HUGE difference. Fantastic shave at last.

Notes
This morning the Mama Bear came on with a bit of a sting, similar to what I've experienced with Martin de Candre. Performance was good, but it may not suit me for repeated use over a string of days. The Floïd is as wonderful as ever.

This is my fourth shave with the ATT S-1 and Personna Medical Prep blade. It was another excellent shave: smooth and close. After my last shave the puck of Williams soap had developed a hole so large it was difficult to load the brush. I took the puck out of the cup and cut it into small pieces and arranged it in the bowl. The result was favorable. The Williams is on its 105th use. The shave was perfect. Have a wonderful day, folks.

Another 10/10 DFS+. I love this razor!

Prep: warm water splash

Razor: Titanium Blackbird Lite
Blade: Lab Blue (2)

Soap: Cella Red
Brush: Zenith 507 boar

Post: warm shower, Dickinson’s Original

Aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue

Beautiful, smooth shave with the Ti ‘Bird. The big boar loaded a ton of soap and lathered extremely well on my face. Here I am mid-week, thinking I never need to rotate kit. This, mates, is what its all about: loving each and every piece in your den.

Cheers, all!
