I actually thought I was going to get a rusty blade.
Like I said...I have been wanting to try a straight for about a year now. I guess I better start practicing with a butter knife. Time to order a strop as well.
Any advice guys? I'm totally new to straights.

Whipped Dog's Poor-man's Strop kit is all you need. And read his shaving manual, lots of good info there.
