Wine red suit, what colour shoes?

Discussion in 'The Haberdashery' started by Bruce Wayne, Feb 8, 2012.

  1. I might be getting a burgundy suit in the near future. Should I wear black shoes or dark brown with it?

    Thanx!!!

I'm trying to imagine this suit not making you look like an Austin Powers clone. Can you post a photo or two that can calm my concerns?

    ... footwear dark brown IMHO.

... or maybe you are going for a "Pertwee Doctor" look?

I have a sense of adventure ... I just want to look good while I'm doing it. :001_tt2:

... seriously though, if you are keen on this, and can pull off the look, all the more power too you! And yes, I'd go with dark brown shoes.

  12. What would Ron Burgundy do?

If we're being serious, I'd probably go with brown. White would definitely make it adventurous though.

  13. There can be only one TRUE option here, Sir.

  14. I am going to go with brown AE 5th Street boots.

  15. Sneakers-so you can run away!! What about cordovan?

  16. Er.....um....it really doesn't matter. People will be too busy thinking you're...adventurous.

  17. If you're brave enough to wear that suit, you don't need any of OUR advice!
