Arko Shave Sticks grated into a puck.
Yep, metal. Just the 'top' part of the Handy Grip. It could be used with a different shave stick.

Wow. They sure made a lot of nice things at the Regus Pat.off factory.First time using Colgate Handy Grip despite wet shaving over five decades. During the century since Colgate made it, it dried a bit. I'm withholding judgement for the moment. A fresh Arko stick is clearly superior, but I still have time to dial in the Colgate.

Was inspired by this thread to pull out my shave sticks.
How did I not realize just how great this stuff is?!!!
Don't know if I lucked out and just happened to get the perfect water to soap ratio - but this stuff was slicker than Cremo Creme.
Left my face feeling great.
No irritation.
Looking forward to revisiting the others!
Still have a Palmolive stick (may they rest in peace).
And my stinky yet good Arko.
Because of previous posts I have decided to order and try the Speick Stick.
And of course I am curious whatever that is a few posts before this that says something like "Jikoryen"
