Super Arkansas

Hello,
I received a honing stone named Super Arkansas. It contains
two different stone types:

- brown color (medium grit)
- white color (fine grit)

I have no idea if this stones can be used for razor honing and cannot find any information hereto.

If you follow this link you see a picture of it. Unfortunately no additional information available that would help me.

Can somebody help? Thanks

Arkansas Hones aren't very good for honing straight razors, and even the most fine Arkansas hones, in my opinion aren't fine enough. There are a few people (literally 2-3) who use arkansas hones - but again, they just aren't very good.

The cut slowly, you need to use oil to hone with them, and they aren't very fine.

Thanks for the answers. I think I will end up having to buy a
Norton 4000/8000 or a King 1000/6000.

I have a Japanese 6000 waterstone, which also isn't quite good enough.
I was looking for the Norton 4000/8000 - but can't find a place where to buy it. The only 2-grit stone that seems to get good reviews was the King 1000/6000.
