Shower at gym + glycerin soap face lather and rinse
Proraso White shave soap
Rudy Vey badger brush
Friedellko 5/8" "Saturday" straight razor
Cool washcloth rinse
Proraso White aftershave balm
Beautiful Saturday! Today I repeated SV Manna di Sicilia because I liked it so much. Greencult 2.0 plate IV, Perma-Sharp (2) and my good old Yardley Original Pure Badger gave me a great shave. I finished with the splendid Skin Bracer.
Razor - H&S P076 Copper
Blade - Wizamet Super Iridium
Brush - Turn~N~Shave Cu Skew H7
Bowl - Captain’s Choice Heavy Gauge Copper
Soap - Hendrix Classics & Co Roasted
Very enjoyable shave this morning resulting in BBS. Copper is one of my favorite metals since it retains heat really well. I rinse the razor with hot water every few strokes, which keeps the blade and razor nice and hot as it glides on my face. This razor is smooth and efficient, with only a little burning on the neck when I used an alum block. I rarely use the same soap and brush two times in a row, but the scent of this Roasted soap is intoxicating and akin to walking into a coffee shop in the morning. The H7 knot from Turn~N~Shave is my favorite knot from them thus far. Soft, good backbone, and it spreads lather very efficiently. I keep the brush soaking in warm water as well between passes to keep the handle nice and warm (no hot water or knot glue can come undone).

In today's shave, I use a Penworks silvertip badger brush. My Merkur Progress adjustable safety razor. For my blade, I used an Astra superior platinum. For cream, I used Proraso shave cream. As an aftershave splash, I used Stirling Soap Company "sharp dressed man." And I finished off with some Nivea sensitive skin post shave balm.
Razor: Gillette English Flat Bottom Tech
Blade: BIC Chrome Platinum (2nd use)
Brush: Omega 10810 Boar
Preshave: Proraso White
Cream: Arko Men Regular
Aftershave: Blue Stratos
Eau de Cologne: Pereja Lemon
Great shave today. I am relieved to say that I (or my lather) was indeed the problem, and that the BIC is not a dud (just quite sharp). The Arko produced a great lather, so I am sad that this tube is now empty, but I have a tube of the menthol version on the way to replace it. The Omega brush is breaking in fine, although I have to get used to the smaller size and the amount of cream/lather it can hold, and I'm definitely more comfortable with using boar than the badger of my last shave.
