I used the Astra Superior Platinum DE blade today for the first time today. And wow, what a nice smooth shave.
I’ve been using Feather Hi-Stainless DE blades for years but have also been trying the Merker Super Platinum DE blades.
I find that with the Feather, I always have nicks with its first use and it is always better on subsequent uses. With the Merker, I found that it didn’t shave particularly well.
I’ll shave with the Astra for a while to get more of a comparison. However, based on first impressions of their use, I might be using these for a while.
