Maggard Razors Mixed 70/30 Badger/Boar Knot

So, I ordered both the 24mm & 26mm knots from Maggard Razors. I have a couple of different types of synthetics(B&W, Beige, Timberwolf Grey) because of the different backbone/softness combinations. I have a great variety of Badger brushes and knots. I even have a Vie Long Horse. But beyond vintage boar brushes, all I have is a Semogue 830. After reading some feedback about the 70/30 mixed knot, and knowing I still have handles needing knots, but not the same knots I already have, they seemed like a good bet.

Does anyone else have experience with these knots? Defunking these shouldn't be too bad, but has anyone ever broken a boar knot in before setting it in a handle or ferrule?
