So who knows how to get rid of the wet animal smell? My wife says it smells like an old lady perm! :9898:
Shampoo and conditioner next time you're in the shower
The smell will gradually go away as you use it. (I second the recommendation on using shampoo--it is hair after all.) Most of us have experienced the smell of wet animal fur as we break in new brushes.

It's made of black resin. Shampoo it is then.

The boar VDH brush will become my travel brush. The second image is what I am currently enjoying. The razor is a Classic 1904.

For some reason the first thing that came into my head when I saw the first pic was "Darth Vader".....mmmmmmmmmm
It's funny comparing something like that to the cheaper VDH. The shiny turned finished vs the moulded ( with mould line )!
Your new brush just looks SOOOOO much more classy.
I had the same thing with my vintage KS7 vs my Men-U boar ( moulded ).
