First restores

I apologizes for the picture quality.

The blue one is from the premium shave set you can find in your local grocery store.....that boar hair was terrible. Anyway, that was easy remove hair; just cut it out and then used pliers to take the base out. Replaced with 3 pennies to add weight and a wine cork cut 1/3 of the way down. Put a 20 mm knot from TGN (could have easily went 21 or 22) and all is good.

White handle was sent to me by a user on here (Thanks Samuel) already hollowed out. It's a Made Rite I took a Dremel to it as a 20 mm knot was just a little too big. Put a silvertip in it. It's a little tiny crooked, but it will work. Feels good to do something with these hands.

I look forward to doing a lot of these.

Looks good!

I agree, restoring is tons of fun and very satisfying -- especially considering the tremendous quality and value of knots available.
