The blades with the highest number are the dullest ones. Basically anything from 50+ is going to be a duller blade.
45 is about average for a decent blade. Below 40 is very sharp. Feathers are the sharpest.

They did test blades after the first use as well. Many get sharper, probably due to the edge coating coming off.

Personally I am one and done with blades so I only care about how they perform brand new. There needs to be a balance of sharpness and smoothness.

Blades are cheap and I see no reason to sacrifice comfort. I stopped reusing blades over a decade ago.

Great discussion!!

For me, there is little question that certain blades ‘improve’ significantly after a shave or two.

The question is what to call this process. Just my $0.02! :popc::popc:
