#66 I'm still in I think. My wife bought me a Merkur 37c, with her own money, that she pulled off of my wish list for Valentine's. I'll leave it up to you all if I'm still in or not.

Temptation. I wound up in a discussion regarding Yardley. I started with Yardley, which was the first item I saw fall during the Shavepocalypse. There has been nothing better since. So, now I want to go searching for a wooden bowl filled with Yardley.....it will pass....I hope!

I had this happen too when I ordered AB soap. Their reply was this was normal but they did offer a refund. I kept the soap and let it air since I'm not a fan of L'O Noir. At this point I don't know for sure what's going on, but I do know what that puck smells like. (this was late july of 2016)
This also happened last year (Amazon wish list I believe). I may be wrong, but I think he sequestered the item until the end of year.
My understanding is that if you didn't buy it and didn't ask for it, then you were fine. I guess having a wish list is akin to asking, but it seems pretty gray if your wife bought something off a wish list you gave her last year for Christmas, as an example.
As long as you did not ask for the gift you ate ok. Wives are allowed to go on wish lists for their man and buy them things for it.

After finishing up a bottle of Speick AS in early January, I finished up an artisan shaving soap bought last on a local market two weeks ago and today, I finished a tube of L'Occitane Cade ASB.
My main reason not only to stop looking at which could possibly be better than all those I already have, but especially to use what I already have and trying to reduce the shave inventory. Six weeks into the 2017 Purchase Sabbatical starts to show signs...

Thanks, I'm good then. I most definitely did not ask her for it! I will tell her I'm taking a year sabbatical. I will do so in a bit. I want to let enough time go by where she does not connect her gift and my sabbatical as a criticism, or that she made a mistake in any way ordering it for me.
Definitely don't let her take it as a criticism! It's a good woman who supports our hobbies, whatever they are.
