1 aluminum tech and the other is a newer ball end tech. Probably both zmack. They both shave but they are in rough shape. I'm not going to take the time to polish them up. They came in a lot and I do not have a need for these. I can't justify throwing them out, the cheapskate in me. Maybe you guys can use them for a handle or maybe you want it for the birth year or something like that. Open to conus, I'm covering shipping. No, they will not be zinc. I am pretty sure Gillette produced these heads in a thin brass with coating. I am unaware of a zinc vintage Gillette, though I may well be wrong. My 1964 English Tech appears to be brass with coating with the spiral aluminum handle.

They might be zamak, but they sure do last a long time.

Only the Travel Techs with the shorter handles appear to be zinc caps or baseplates. These from the pics are regular length handle Techs, so I think they are brass heads.

hmm I'm not a tech aficionado, but not what the wiki says. They make it sound like all caps after 1962 will be zamak and can be identified by the embossed(not diamond) logo.

All things considered, the later Techs may be the most underappreciated Gillette's ever made.

I don't think any Tech baseplates are ZAMAK. They would be more expensive to produce than stamping out brass, aluminium or mild steel. The handle doesn't affect the baseplate.

Caps before 62 are mostly brass, those after 62 are all ZAMAK, afaik.
