A very nice shave to start the new month with. Blade is working well and of course Tabac never disappoints.

Preshave: Hot washcloth
Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat (Tallow)
Brush: Yaqi 24mm synthetic cashmere
Razor: GC.84 SB, Al Handle, Astra SP #1
Bowl: Turkish copper
Post-shave: Proraso Sensitive Balm

Loaded a fresh Astra to start the month. Consciously backing off on the pressure got the best result out of shave 1 (sharp, but not so smooth). It was an excellent near-BBS.

The Proraso balm is unimpressive to apply, but once it is absorbed/dried, it's very smooth, comfortable and non-greasy.

In with my usual setup, my early postwar Tech and Feather (forgot about Micromatic Monday again). I got out Mike’s Bay Rum again. The little bit of the remnants of my last couple of soaps in the bottom of my soap mug will be heated to secure the next puck. Shave 505 for the blade (I’m fairly sure that’s a Levi Jeans style.)

Two passes (wtg/atg) on setting 3, touchups on setting 1.5. I really enjoyed this highly efficient shave. The Nacet is a great pairing in this shaver, whenever a close shave result is needed.

Solid shave with a new blade to me. Very comfortable with no issues. Not quite as close as the previous shave, but plenty good still. No issues.
