Ditto, ditto
Prep: warm water splash

Soap: Cella Red
Brush: AP Shaving Dark Abalone/SOC boar knot

Razor: Lambda Athena
Blade: Personna Lab Blue (3)

Post: hope a shower, then Dickinson’s Original

Aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue

Fantastic shave! DFS++ in two passes plus minimal XTG buffing. No irritation whatsoever. The Athena is a great razor for those of us who like mild shaves.

Andrew’s brush is also a thing of beauty. The fantastic Shavemac handle adds some heft and much-needed flash to the SOC knot. Those familiar with SOCs need not be told how well they load and lather.

Cheers!

Bowl: Fine Accoutrements
Soap: A&E Peach and Cognac 🍑

Pre shave: Kyle's Routine, La Toja 🇪🇸
Aftershave: Stirling Peach 🍑

While doing my pre shave routine with the La Toja I had to wonder why I need any other soap. The lather from this little stick is amazing. However..

The A&E soap produces the finest lather of anything I've used. What amazing shaves I get from this one. Super slick and creamy.

The rest of the kit was flawless as well.

2 pass shave, WTG, XTG with no issues

Wednesday’s shave.
Razor: Blackland Dart.
Blade: Matgicol 3rd use.
Soap: Lather Bros Lone Bear.
Brush: Stirling badger.
Preshave: Hot rag.
Postshave: Thayers witch hazel, Stirling Arcadia aftershave , Proraso white balm.
Alum feedback: face-low, neck-medium.
Smooth: 9.0
Close: 9.5
Soap: 9.5
The Dart is one of the razors I have to be mindful of or I’ll draw blood. The blade feel is a good reminder to proceed with caution.

VIKINGS SHAVE

Three Days Whiskers

MUSIC:

Stateless by Lene Lovich.
I have this album since it was released in 1978. Some 46 years ago. This is pure new wave / punk stuff. With a lot of hype back then.

PRE-SHAVE:

- Hot Shower

- Proraso Pre-Shave Cream Cypress and Vetyver (PT)

BOWL: Costa Nova Fine Stoneware (PT)

SOAP: Musgo Real Hard Soap (PT) -

Real creamy high quality odorless lather.

BRUSH: Semogue Hereditas 2000 Beech Boar 62×25 mm (P) -

Fantastic performance. Very good Lather Generator, excellent backbone, soft on face.
Not to forget that this is a very cheap brush over here.

SR: Vikings Blade Emperor Meiji (AUS)

- Only the packaging must be Australian. All the rest smells like China.
There are reports of blemished Meiji with important flaws. Certainly the consequences of a poor quality control.
That's not the case of the examplar I possess which is flawless.
This hefty tool until now has gaven me always great shaves with no collateral damages which is simply incredible.
The match with the Nacet was truly amazing. And I have definitely assesed the set up combinations. It was great on last shave. I consulted the set ups used then and it was great right now, even with different blades.

BLADE: Gillette Nacet Stainless -

On its third and last performance which, by the way, was impeccable.

POST-SHAVE:

- 444 Alum-Block (PT):

Mild feedback over the first couple of minutes.

- Old Spice Original After Shave Lotion (US)

- Rituals... After-Shave Refreshing Gel (NL)

THE SHAVE:

Absolute 10/10 easy shave.
The sensation was that it was impossible to cut myself with this binomium Meiji-Nacet. Just incredible.

1st Pass: Set 4.5 all WTG.

2nd Pass: Set 5.5. From East to West on Face, ATG on neck.

3rd Pass: Set 6.5. All ATG except on Mustache and Chin Areas where I went XTG from West to East.

Touch-Ups: Set 5 XTG on Neck with some Blade Buffing.

Today's shave….
IMG_6849.jpeg
The shave with the 109 Black Beauty was close but I have to say I suffered with some quite painful neck burn. Had it set too aggressive and paid the price.
Decided today to go with the thin handled Gillette Tech, green Astra blade, mini
Omega boar brush and arko!
A lovely shave indeed. Mellow and kind, just what my face required after the irritation issues from earlier in the week..
A DFS from this no frills set up. No cuts or weepers. I love this little Tech razor , it’s a tremendous all rounder.
9/10

Brush: Semogue SOC Mistura w/ cherry handle
Soap: AOS lemon cream super-lathered w/ Pre de Provence #63
A/S: Tuff Green (unscented)

I seem to be getting better results with the Fatip Gentile + Feather combo after a bit of practice. Nearly a BBS, which wasn't really intentional, it just happened.
