IMHO because the difference between two different brushes is becoming more and more smaller when you go high end, but the price difference is more and more higher.Yes, it is a lovely brush!
...but why would I want a Shavemac when I could have a Semogue 1305 in boar?
Just because, that's why!
And I still want one of those hunky Plissons in legal ivory. (Even though I already have a Sem 1305.)
Just because....
It's the same with cars, objectively there is not much difference in comport, power between a Mercedes S class and a Rolls Royce... But still the Rolls Royce is about three times more expensive...
It's not that the Plissons are bad brushes (In fact I can't really tell because I never tried one), I'm sure these are great brushes, but they are still very very expensive for what they are. I mean that if a Plisson is better than say a shavemac, you pay a very big premium for a comparatively small difference.
But of course who is being objective here when buying shaving gear? Well, I'm the first to tell that I'm not...
Just my 2 cents...
