I noticed that a lot of used Gillette 3 piece travel razors, (the ones with the very small, short handle) seem to have problems with the plating chipping/coming off of the threads on the top razor head assembly. That's the threads that the handle screws onto. Is this a common problem with these razors? The 1932 techs, the solid brass ones without the chrome plating don't seem to suffer these problems. It just seems to me that only the travel razors have problems with the threads chipping, almost like the metal corroded away. Aren't the top razor head assembly solid brass plated in chrome? The razor I'm talking about is pictured here:
