John Watts Sheffield service set containing safety razor and blade stropper
Quite a unique looking razor, doesnt look to have seen much or in fact any use, stropper the same the leather inside is. Intact. Contained in the set is a small cylinder which contains some sort of wax I assume for conditioning the leather. There is also the ornate blade holder which contains one blade which unfortunately is not in the wrapper but doesn't look as if it has been used.

Not sure if I should keep it or move it on... I'd be interested to know if anyone else has one of these and if they have any more information about it. I read that it was patented in 1929 by the John Watts cutlery company in Sheffield.

I have one, though not in the same case as you. I haven’t shaved with yet...

I wrote about it here:

So what type of blade does it use, standard double edge?

Congrats. Where did you find it?
