Gillette razor ID

I just picked up an old Gillette and I don't know what it is. Date code says I-1 but I can't find anything that seems to match. The barrel is a pale blue and there are some funky star-like designs right under the head.

Any ideas?

A great shaver if you can get past the "Lady" part.

Basically a Superspeed head on a long handle.

Works as well as any late 50's SuperSpeed. Some folks like the longer handle as well.

I just got back from a quick trip to the antique store, and quickly found myself both under and overwhelmed.

1. Trying to find razors is pretty tedious, but I don't mind.
2. Trying to ID a razor via smartphone is pretty tough.
3. I don't know what kind of pricing is "normal" for antique shops.
3a. Do they haggle on price?

Do you guys shop for razor a lot? What would a typical fair price be, obviously dependent upon so many factors?

I did look at that chart, but that's what caused my confusion. I didn't see anything that really looked like this, that was manufactured that year.

Separate but related topic. Is there a database here of Gem razors?

1 & 2) Totally agree
3) It's all over the map. Techs, $15 & less. Superspeeds, $25 & less. Lady Gillette, good question. Haven't seen one in the wild yet.
3a) Most shops won't haggle pricing under $20, but you are welcome to try.
