What's new

"Galaxy Quest" funniest movie I've seen in a long time!

It is absolutely hilarious!

I had never seen it before, but remember seeing the awful trailers back in 1999 and had falsely discounted it as a "dumb kid's movie".

It's a Star Trek spoof, but you don't have to be a Trekkie to enjoy it. The cast (Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub, and Sam Rockwell) really seams to be having a good time too.

OK, not very high brow, but it's such a good-time that leaves you with a smile on your face...watched it twice this week.

It's on AMC this month and really worth recording.

Terrific movie. Clever, funny, great cast doing great work.

Doesn't hesitate to go for the heart in its redemption-of-the-nerds theme, not to mention its redemption-of-the-main-character-who's-fallen-on-hard-times theme.

I love that movie--it's really just about perfect. Alan Rickman as the put-upon Shakespearean actor? Sigourney Weaver as the communications officer that has nothing to do? Brilliant.

I didn't want to see it based on the previews either. It was on TV one day when I was bored. I wouldn't mind watching it again. Pretty funny movie.
