"Look what I found"
This was almost twenty years in the making, assembling this collection of Adoration Shaving Brushes. All four colors of Bakelite (Catalin) are here and the band is back together, Cherry, Applejuice, Butterscotch, and Spinach. The Cherry was first and rescued from the Saint-Ouen Flea Market in Paris in 2005. The Applejuice was a Christmas miracle, found just last week. The Spinach was in the worst condition when rescued. The knot was toast and had chips in the top of the ferrell. I opened it up to 28mm, reknotted, and has been in rotation for about ten years. The colored Bakelite handles have the typical swirled, internal structure to them. Tried to show them by lightning them but the camera doesn’t give them justice. Now to finish my Merit collection
