On the topic of suitable notebooks for fountain pens I just wanted to mention the Apica CD15 notebooks from Japan. Excellent smooth paper in a nicely bound notebook that is great to use in business or school. You can find them at a number of locations on the web. If you are looking for a notebook or small journal you should do yourself a favor and check these out.

I like my little CD-5 pocket sized, handy for quick notes on the go. Good paper (a little thin) and nice low price, under $1.
I have a CD-11 that I absolutely love!
CD-11, CD10, CD-5, and CD18 all in regular use. They seem to suit my needs perfectly.
Where do you all but them in the states?

If you Google APICA you should get multiple listing. Lots of businesses online sell them.
