Learned my badger brush feels scritchy in cold water and pleasant in warm water. Don’t know if it’s the interplay of the water and the bristles or if it’s the lather being easier to make with warm water.

I do love badger brushes, for their softness coupled with a backbone. But there is something special about the "scritch" of a top-notch boar brush and the lather bombs they create.
