I made lathers with too little soap for the amount of water used my last two shaves (getting familiar with a boar brush) and the runny, SV-scented water was much, much slicker than the same mess with Wickham’s.
Broken lather is when you keep adding water until there is no more lather, just soup. @thombrogan prefers the poison water of broken SV.Hi, what do you mean? Thanks
I need to stop buying for the sake of the dopamine hit and then reselling.
I had a, um, run, like that not too long ago. A few shaves in a row where I just didn't get enough soap. I hear guys talking about loading for 20 seconds and I just have to ignore that stuff. I don't care if I have to keep twenty soaps around, which I probably do anyway, I'll load for five minutes if I have to.I made lathers with too little soap for the amount of water used my last two shaves (getting familiar with a boar brush) and the runny, SV-scented water was much, much slicker than the same mess with Wickham’s.
They’re my second favorite after feather. That astra blades work well for me:-D
Have you tried a Zenith pure bristle unbleached boar like the 80B XSE ?I’m not bright enough to get consistently good results with a boar brush. At least not yet.

The 80B XSE is only $7.95 at Your Shaving, and fifteen just sounds better than 14.Haven’t. At 14 brushes, I had too many ten brushes ago.
Made sure to add the caveat “at least not yet” as I might figure it out over the next 86 shaves.
A sting is a sting, lolIf you’re worried your shave was so gentle that you’ll miss that sting from the aftershave, just make sure you have a hangnail and problem solved.
